Purpose and Essential Job Functions
Perform pricing activities in the deregulated natural gas and power markets. Manage the retail energy pricing process, including: building models, pricing deals, analyzing and modeling pricing components, communicated with sales team members, and developing new products. Additional duties include researching new markets, producing analysis for the wholesale supply team, facilitating new market entry requirements and producing weekly and monthly reporting. Position reports to VP Energy Portfolio Management.
Job Requirements
-Two years of experience working as an analyst in retail energy pricing
-Strong understanding of the retail natural gas pricing process, including model development
-Power market pricing knowledge is a plus, but not required
-Advanced knowledge of Excel and VBA. Basic understanding of SQL is also a plus.
-Strong analytical, planning and organizational skills
-Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce results and meet deadlines
-Ability to work within a team and receive direction from others is required
-Ability to communicate effectively at various levels with a strong customer service attitude towards the sales team and other departments
