Mr. Hellums joined as CEO of Frontier Utilities, LLC in January 2012 upon partnering with Quintana Infrastructure & Development LLC to acquire the business. Prior to joining Frontier, Mr. Hellums most recently served as Senior Vice President of Wholesale Energy Management for Direct Energy, one of the largest competitive retail energy suppliers in North America. During his seven years (2003 to 2010) at Direct Energy, he established wholesale energy operations to support retail sales in all major competitive retail energy markets (ERCOT, PJM, NYISO, ISO-NE, CAISO, Ontario, Alberta). Prior to joining Direct Energy, Mr. Hellums was with El Paso Merchant Energy Europe from 2000 to 2003 and was responsible for building, from the early planning stage, a successful 200-person pan-European asset-based oil, gas, and power marketing business. Before joining El Paso, Mr. Hellums was with Enron in Houston (1993 to 1995) and London (1996 to 2000). With Enron, he was responsible for certain trading, marketing, business development, and corporate finance / investment activities. During his time in London, Mr. Hellums served on the Board of Paladin Resources PLC, a $2.1 billion publicly-traded oil and gas company. He previously held positions with First City Bancorporation and Bankers Trust. Mr. Hellums has an MBA from Rice University and a BBA in Finance from the University of Houston.
Dr. Guddanti is the CIO & VP of Operations at Frontier Utilities. Prior to joining Frontier Utilities, Dr. Guddanti served as the Director of Application Development at Liberty Power, leading enterprise software development initiatives that included the industry’s first tablet based application for commercial door to door sales in the Northeast retail energy markets. Prior to joining Liberty Power, Dr. Guddanti spent more than 8 years at Direct Energy where he spear headed the development of core applications in the areas of Forecasting, Scheduling, Settlements, Trading, Revenue Assurance and Sales in the ERCOT retail energy market. Before Direct Energy, Dr. Guddanti worked at New Power and Enron on various Risk Management and Forecasting systems for Power and Gas markets. Dr. Guddanti has a PhD in Artificial Intelligence & Neural Networks and a Masters in Mechanical Engineering from Louisiana State University where he served as a Faculty for 7 years.
Ms. Morrow joined as Controller of Frontier Utilities, LLC in January 2015. Prior to joining Frontier, Ms. Morrow most recently served as Vice President in the Global Commodities Principal Investments group and reporting for the Principal Investments, Global Oil and North American Power & Gas for JP Morgan Chase. Prior to joining JP Morgan Chase, Ms. Morrow was a Director with Calpine and was responsible for debt compliance and financial reporting and standalone audits for various joint ventures. Before joining Calpine, Ms. Morrow was Controller with The Woodlands Christian Academy and held various management positions with Enron in Houston and London (1993 to 2002). With Enron, she was primarily responsible for accounting and reporting for various international and domestic power plant joint ventures. Ms. Morrow began her career prior to Enron in the audit department of Deloitte for 5 years. Ms. Morrow has a BBA in Accounting from Texas A&M University.
Mr. Ferguson joined Frontier in June of 2014 as the Senior Director of Frontier Utilities’ energy supply and structuring functions. Mr. Ferguson has over 18 years of experience managing commodity risks and trading power and natural gas across multiple markets. Prior to joining Frontier, Mr. Ferguson spent 4 years with Spark Energy where he was Senior Director, Power Supply and Structuring. Earlier in his career, Mr. Ferguson held positions as the Director of Power Trading for AAA Capital Management, Director of Ercot Supply for Reliant Energy, and as an Ercot Power Trader for LGE Energy Marketing. Mr. Ferguson is a Chartered Financial Analyst charter holder, and has received an MS in Finance from the University of Houston, and a BBA in Finance from the University of Kentucky.
Tatjana Steinhardt joined Frontier Utilities in February 2014 and is responsible for Texas Residential Sales, Retention and Marketing Communications. Tatjana has over 16 years of experience in Marketing & Communications with 9 years spent in advertising agencies. Before joining Frontier, Tatjana spent 3 years as Director of Marketing Communications, Product & Pricing Strategy at Electric Now, an affiliate of Spark Energy where she was responsible for building a Prepaid Electricity brand including the development of products, effective sales channels, mass marketing, and pricing strategies. Prior to Electric Now, Tatjana worked 3 years at Direct Energy and held various positions in Acquisition, Retention, and Project Management. Tatjana has an MBA from the University of St. Thomas, Cameron School of Business and a BA in Marketing and Economics from the University of Flensburg, Germany.
Scott Birmingham joined Frontier Utilities in 2009. Mr. Birmingham brings extensive knowledge in business operations overseeing many areas including product development for energy and gas products in the North East, Regulatory, and New Market entry initiatives. Prior to Frontier, Scott spent nearly 10 years in the construction industry, the last 5 as a Regional Director. Scott has a B.A in Psychology from the University of Arkansas. In his spare time, Scott enjoys attending his children’s sporting events and cheering on the Arkansas Razorbacks.
Tommy Richardson joined Frontier Utilities in January 2015 as Director-Commercial Sales. Mr. Richardson brings 15 years of commercial energy sales experience, holding several Sr. Business Development roles. Most recently Mr. Richardson served at AP Gas & Electric and at First Choice Power where he aided in the development of a best-in-class technology platform. Mr. Richardson currently resides in the Dallas / Fort-Worth Metroplex with his wife and two children. He is a former Major League Eater who enjoys watching “his” Dallas Cowboys and playing golf in his spare time. Mr. Richardson has a BA in Communications and Sociology from UT-Arlington.
Mr. Wasserman joined Frontier Utilities in December of 2015 as the Director of Portfolio Management & Customer Retention. Mr. Wasserman has over 13 years of experience in the energy industry in a wide range of roles covering strategic, financial and operational functions across the US, UK and Canada. Prior to joining Frontier Utilities Mr. Wasserman held multiple leadership roles at Direct Energy including roles in Operations managing over 1 million customers in Alberta, Canada. He also spent a year working in the UK for Centrica, Direct Energy’s parent company, developing the strategy for the company’s gas fired generation fleet and before moving to the UK had P&L responsibility at Direct Energy for the Midwestern business of over 500,000 gas and electric customers. Earlier in his career Mr. Wasserman also worked for Spark Energy and Marathon Oil in various financial roles. Mr. Wasserman holds an MBA from the University of Findlay and a BSBA in Finance from Bowling Green State University.
Leigh Stitham is Frontier’s Senior Director of Operations and Customer service. Leigh is responsible for Frontier’s operations and customer service, which includes billing and transactions, contract administration, collections, market entry, regulatory, commercial operations and inside sales groups. Leigh most recently served as Vice President of Customer Operations for Sunnova. Prior to joining Sunnova, Leigh was Vice President of Digital Sales and Operations for Allconnect and WhiteFence, where her focus on customers, innovation, improved operational efficiency, and execution led to significant company growth. She also leads both domestic and international call center operations in Frontier’s enterprise. She has a BBA in Management from The University of Texas at Austin and an MBB from Purdue University.
