Frontier Utilities Announces Key Additions to its Management Team
HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Frontier Utilities, LLC, a retail electricity provider headquartered in Houston, Texas, announced today that it has added three new executives to its senior leadership team.  Newly reporting to Jay D. Hellums, Frontier Utilities’ President and CEO, are Shirley Rouse, Senior Vice President, Retail Energy; Dayne Zimmerman, Vice President, Energy Management; and Suresh Guddanti, Vice President and CIO.

These highly experienced executives have a proven track record of building and leading retail energy businesses many times our current size,” said Hellums “With these key additions, we have the leadership and the functional expertise to make Frontier Utilities a first class national energy provider.”

Shirley Rouse joins the company as Senior Vice President, Retail Energy, spearheading a range of growth initiatives. Shirley has more than eleven years of senior leadership experience with Reliant Energy, holding key roles as the business leader for the 1.5 million residential customer portfolio and Vice President of Mass Markets Innovation, including smart energy. She led development of the e-Sense products now used by more than 500,000 Reliant customers and awarded the 2011 CIO Magazine's '100 Award'.  In previous positions at Reliant, she led competitive sales and marketing strategy, the operational opening of the Texas retail market, and many enterprise level expansion initiatives.  Prior to joining Reliant, Shirley led business development for environmental software, consulting and oil and gas exploration technology companies. Shirley is currently an external advisor with the SURGE business accelerator and the Houston Technology Center.

Dayne Zimmerman joins Frontier Utilities as Vice President, Energy Management. Dayne brings over thirteen years of experience in energy trading, risk management, asset optimization, structuring and quantitative research to the company. He was formerly head of ERCOT trading at Direct Energy and has also held positions at Enron, RWE Trading Americas, Duke Solutions and First Union Securities. He has written award-winning research and is a frequent speaker on the topics of energy and credit derivatives. He is a member of the CFA Institute and the American Finance Association.
Joining as Frontier Utilities’ new Vice President and CIO, Suresh Guddanti brings over twenty years of Information Technology experience including a decade working in the competitive retail energy industry. Suresh joins the company from Liberty Power and before that spent more than seven years at Direct Energy. Suresh has led IT groups supporting both retail and wholesale energy businesses. His teams have delivered cost effective and innovative IT solutions in the areas of mobile applications, sales support, forecasting, settlements, finance, transactions and energy trading.  Sureshi is responsible for all IT infra-structure, architecture and application development as well as ensuring that information technology continues to provide Frontier Utilities’ customers with a leading edge and first-rate experience.
